Heather Doidge-Sidhu, MA, CCC, RCC

Registered Clinical Counsellor (she/her)

Heather graduated from Adler University with a Master in Counselling Psychology in 2013, as she pursued a career change from being a high school teacher. Her practice is shaped by the deep belief that her clients are the experts of their own lives, and she strives to meet them where they are at and to provide a supportive ear, while using a variety of evidence-based therapy interventions.

Heather works with adults from a trauma-informed lens, and uses an approach highlighting the mind-body connection. She frequently uses EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis with clients. She is well-versed in CBT, Adlerian Therapy, Rogerian Therapy, and Mindfulness. Located in Victoria, Heather offers counselling to clients of Ladler Village Physiotherapy via video chat.

Since the birth of her first child in 2015, Heather has pursued extra training in perinatal mental health, and enjoys working with individuals as they prepare for and move through pregnancy, birth, and parenting. Additionally, Heather often works with people struggling with major life changes, grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression. In all her work, Heather strives to provide safe, nurturing, non-judgmental care for individuals from all backgrounds and identities.

In her down time, Heather can be found combing the beaches of Victoria for treasures and splashing in the ocean with her two young children and her husband, playing the guitar, or sipping on a steaming cup of tea while dreaming up fairytales to write for her kids.
