Michaela Jolly, BKin

Registered Kinesiologist (she/her)

Michaela's professional journey with exercise rehabilitation began in 2006, marking the beginning of a fulfilling career dedicated to helping individuals recover from injuries and optimize their physical well-being. Her work has spanned various settings, including physiotherapy clinics, community centers, and fitness studios, where she has had the opportunity to positively impact the lives of diverse clientele, including special populations such as those with cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neurological conditions, in addition to chronic pain and pre-and postnatal care.

Originally hailing from the sunny South Okanagan, Michaela ventured to the "Wet Coast" to pursue her Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree at the University of British Columbia. Her initial aspiration was to pursue a master's degree in physiotherapy, however, following a motor vehicle accident and her own subsequent rehabilitation, Michaela's trajectory took an unexpected turn when she discovered her profound fascination with corrective exercise and the transformative journey of effective recovery from injury. She found herself drawn to the intricate process of identifying movement imbalances, addressing musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and guiding individuals toward optimal physical function and performance.

Michaela's personal journey through motor vehicle accidents, broken bones, and surgeries has equipped her with invaluable firsthand insight into the multifaceted nature of the healing process. These experiences have not only deepened her understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that accompany injury and recovery but have also fueled her passion for helping others navigate similar obstacles with empathy and expertise.

Michaela's role as a mother to three children has provided her with a unique perspective on the intricacies of women's health, particularly during pregnancy and postpartum. She intimately understands the dynamic changes that occur throughout pregnancy, including the challenges of maintaining core function and addressing pelvic issues. Through her own experiences, she has gained a profound appreciation for the importance of specialized care and support tailored to the unique needs of expectant and new mothers.
